HISTORY

A humble beginning

In 1980, with $4,000 of capital and a dream, Mike Silveri started Broward Frame & Body on Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida. Business was good. In 1986 the business took on a new name... "Tri-County Truck & Equipment", it was moved to its present location on Powerline Road and it became an authorized dealer for Mitsubishi Fuso trucks.

Today, South Florida's leading truck dealership

Over the years the company has grown and prospered by providing quality products and services to its customers. Today, Tri-County Truck & Equipment is one of South Florida's leading truck dealerships. As an authorized distributor for different truck lines, including Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino, and Workhorser, it is able to satisfy the needs of a wide range of customers. The company's success is, to a large degree, attributed to its strong roots. It has been building the finest custom truck bodies since 1988, and has gained an enviable reputation in the trucking industry.

A growing family of companies

Tri Leasing Corp., a sister company of Tri-County Truck & Equipment was founded in 2000 to handle leasing and rental needs for its customers. Empire Finance, Inc., another sister company, was founded in 1998 to provide financing for customers with special needs.

In May 2005, Tri-County Truck & Equipment expanded into Palm Beach County with the opening of new sales, parts, and service centers on Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Operating under the name "Tri-County Truck & Equipment of Palm Beach", the new sales center sells and leases the full line of Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Hino, and Workhorse trucks.

In December, 2005 dealership agreements were signed with Gehl and CEAttachments. These dealerships provide yet another opportunity for vertical integration. Tri-County can now supply the construction trades with a full line of compact construction equipment including skid loaders, telescopic handlers, and pavers. A wide range of attachments are also available.

In April, 2006 Tri-County's list of dealerships grew once more when BigTex Utility Trailers were added to the company's product line. These new product lines continue to enhance Tri-County's ability to vertically integrate equipment with its wide selection of commercial trucks.

In November, 2006, "Tri-County Truck & Equipment of Fort Myers" opened for business. This third dealership location provides sales, parts, and service for customers on the Southwest Florida coast.
