| This rugged and high production horizontal waste reduction machine is built like its "big brother," the model 3680. The only difference is that it is more compact.
The 2680 features a 24" X 60" opening; 12' long infeed and discharge conveyors and the same cuttermill, teeth and infeed chain as the 3680. Bandit's Beast Recyclers all use the patented cuttermill system that actually breaks material apart by cutting and splitting as opposed to the beating action used by traditional tub grinders. This system, along with a high torque drive, allows the 2680 to reduce large diameter materials with ease. Brush, logs, whole trees, stumps, logging waste, land clearing waste, C&D, railroad ties, telephone poles, sawmill waste, pallets, slabs, bark and chunk wood pose no problem.
This unit is especially effective in converting a variety of unwanted materials into useable products like compost, landscaping mulch, boiler fuel, animal bedding and more. Ten different teeth options and many screen options are available.
A 30' discharge conveyor with a 17'6" discharge height is available as an option, which aids in loading open top trailers or for creating sizeable piles. A hydraulic thrower, mounted on the end of the 12' conveyor, is offered for loading end-opening trailers or for broadcasting material over the site. The thrower is especially popular for utilizing logging slash and waste from flail debarkers.
